Burnout
Burnout is a state of intense mental, emotional, and physical exhaustion. It is usually preceded by persistent work-related stress and/or exhausting life events, leading to overwhelm and self-exploitation.
Signs include, among other things, extreme exhaustion, sleep disturbances with ongoing fatigue, reduced performance and concentration, lack of motivation, feelings of emptiness and meaninglessness. Physical complaints such as headaches, tension, gastrointestinal problems, and panic symptoms are also common.
